Originally a commission, this was the largest and most ambitious sculpture I had done at that time. It was with this piece that I found and developed my style of work, finding shapes and forms within the subjects and emphasising them in the finished sculpture, then giving these shapes a bold and angular finish that defines those same shapes. My aim for this piece was to capture the ferocity and energy of the hares in a way that has never been done before.
